The North Central coordinator of Coalition of Youths and Students for Tinubu/Shettima, Prince Sanni Ismaila, has urged youths to resist the temptation of being used by unpatriotic politicians during or after the 2003 electioneering campaigns to circumvent the electoral process.
Speaking after a meeting of the group ahead of the formal campaign launch, Sanni said the need for a peaceful campaign cannot be over-emphasised, hence the call on the youths to be orderly.
Sanni, who said the group would not relent in campaigning for the APC candidates, challenged its coordinators in the six states of the zone to ensure victory for the party in their respective states.
He said the group was poised to mobilise for all APC candidates in line with the overall mission of sustaining the laudable legacy of the APC administration.
“We are determined and set to embark on door-to-door campaigns for all the APC candidates as part of our commitment and sacrifice for the continued growth and development of our dear nation.
“Ensuring the success of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket and as a matter of fact, all APC candidates is a task we are committed to because therein lies the future of this country.
“This explains my charge to all the state coordinators in the six states of Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi, Niger. Kwara and Plateau to market the APC candidates in their respective states. Good enough we have quality and capable candidates even as our party has done so much with which we can use to campaign,” he added.
Sanni expressed optimism that Tinubu would take over from President Muhammadu Buhari as the nation’s next president, adding; “The coast is clear, Nigerians trust our candidate and will vote overwhelmingly for him.”
