A Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin has issued an interim order restraining a firm, El-Tahdam Exploration, from further disposing, evacuating, transporting and removing the heap of lithium deposited in Lade, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The court’s order followed a suit filed before the court by Moses Ake and Gana Tsado on behalf members of Lade District Development Association and other indigenes of the community against the company.
According to the court in the suit number FHC/IL/CS/119/2025, the order also restrained workers, officers or agents of the firm pending the determination of the motion on notice.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro granted the interim injunction in a certified true copy of the order obtained from the Registrar of the court and dated December 8, 2025.
In the order, the court also restrained the firm from harassing or attacking the plaintiffs with the use of security agents on account of the matter before it.
The court said the order subsists pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice and adjourned the suit to January 13, 2025.
