Courts Jails 15 Gangsters In Adamawa

A Chief Magistrate Court presided over by Justice Adamu Adamu has sentenced 15 gangsters popularly known as ‘Shila boys to various years of imprisonment in Adamawa State.

The miscreants whose jail terms range from one to five years were convicted after they were tried and found guilty of offences bordering on extortion, receiving of stolen property, thuggery, criminal conspiracy and causing grievous hurts.

Those to serve five years behind bars are Umar Abubakar and Sadam Yakubu with an option of N120,000 option of fine for receiving stolen property and N150,000 option of fine respectively.

The court also jailed Abdulrahaman Tasiu, Abdulazeez Mohammed, Rabiu Adamu for three years each as well as Aliyu Bala, John Josiah and Anas Adamu for two years each, all without an option of fine.

Others include Osama Adamu, Haruna Musa and Mujahid Saidu, three years each; Abdulrahaman Usman, two years or N150,000 fine; Aliyu Umar, two years or N150,000 fine; Abdullahi Isa, a year or option of N50,000 fine and Shettima Mohammed, two years or N200,000 fine.
