A non-governmental organisation, the North East Youth Ambassadors, has called on affluent public officials and civil servants at both state and federal levels to emulate Dr Bala Wunti regarding his humanitarian gestures in the society, especially in Bauchi State.

The group’s zonal chairman, Comrade Haruna Muhammad stated this yesterday while speaking with journalists.

“I am calling on all indigenes of Bauchi State who are holding appointive offices at the local, state and federal levels to emulate Alh Bala Wunti in his humanitarian gestures to the people of Bauchi State,” he said.

Malam Muhammad noted with delight that despite the fact Wunti is not a politician nor involved in partisan politics, he has been helpful to the people of Bauchi State, especially during Ramadan and festive periods where he provides people with basic necessities of life.

According to Muhammad, the philanthropist also takes the responsibility of many people’s children by training them in schools in Bauchi, nationwide and even abroad as well as other various means of promoting the livelihood of people generally.

Malam Muhammad disclosed that Wunti is presently constructing a healthcare centre in Bauchi, adding that he also constructed one of the most befitting mosques in the entire Northeast in Bauchi metropolis.

According to him, one cannot estimate or enumerate the number of persons in Bauchi that Wunti is footing their medical bills in the state.
