Six Nigerian cricket players will be participating in the upcoming Waterfalls T20 Elite League in Uganda.
Emeka Igwilo, general manager of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the national team players would feature in the event from February1 to 11.
“Three male and three females players in the national team, will be participating in the second edition of the Ugandan elite league.
“The included Isaac Okpe, Chiemelie Udekwe and Isaac Danladi while the women; Sarah Etim, Piety Lucky and Favour Eseigbe will take featuring.
“This is part of a high-performance programme for the players as well as preparation ahead of the African Games, and the NCF Women’s Invitational in February,’’ he said.
NAN reports that cricket will be featuring for the first time at the African Games in Ghana in March, with Nigeria participating in both male and female event based on their T20 ranking
