The Crime Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CCAN) has extended its deepest condolences to the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Olatunji Disu on the tragic and untimely death of his son, Tunde Disu in an auto crash on Monday, January 21, 2025.
Chairman of the association, Sam Ogbuefi described the incident as “undoubtedly an irreparable loss to a dedicated and hardworking crime fighter who has steadfastly reshaped the security landscape of the Federal Capital Territory since assuming office last year.”
The group urged CP Disu to remain steadfast in his zeal and dedication to combating crime in the FCT, even in the face of this tragic loss.
LEADERSHIP recalls that CP Disu received a call notifying the death of his son the same day he paid a condolence visit to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ushafa Division, CSP A.A. Sambo, who also lost his son.
The CP reportedly got a call while on his way from Ushafa that his son had died.
The late Disu has since been buried on Wednesday at the Gudu cemetery in Abuja.
