The 40-year-old recently celebrated his third international title as Portugal defeated Spain to win the UEFA Nations League.

Confirming the imminent deal on his X account, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Cristiano Ronaldo set to sign new deal at Al Nassr as formal documents are being checked.

“Final detail being discussed: one or two year deal, concrete possibility to make it happen until June 2027 if Cristiano wants.

“Massive move for SPL to keep Cristiano.”

Despite rumours of him planning to move clubs to participate in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup 2025 floating around, Ronaldo confirmed earlier this month that he will not be part of the tournament.

The 40-year-old has scored 93 goals and 19 assists in 105 appearances across all competitons for the Saudi club, but was yet to win a league title.

In the recently concluded season, Al Nassr finished third in the points table, missing out on a spot in next year’s AFC Champions League Elite and instead will play in the AFC Champions League 2.

Moreover, Al Nassr is currently without a manager after Stafano Pioli left the role on Wednesday, making him the third full-time coach to leave since Ronaldo’s arrival.
