Osimhen, Mayele, Salah Top As Morocco Hosts 2025 CAF Awards

Morocco will roll out the red carpet for African football’s finest on November 19, 2025, for the annual 2025 CAF Awards.

According to a statement posted on the CAF website on Friday, the event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. local time (7 p.m. Nigerian time), will celebrate Africa’s top footballers, coaches, clubs, and national teams for their outstanding performances over the past year.

The ceremony will see the continent’s top players, including headliners Victor Osimhen and Mohamed Salah, vie for the prestigious Men’s Player of the Year award.

Nigeria has a strong hand to play, with Stanley Nwabali nominated for best goalkeeper and Daniel Bameyi for best young player. The Super Falcons are also heavily featured, with Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiamaka Nnadozie all in contention for top women’s honors.
