Yala local government councillors have lifted the three months suspension on the  head of the legislative arm of the local government, Miss Mary Eje.

At an emergency sitting in Yala yesterday, the councilors unanimously passed a vote of confidence on her and announced the lifting of the suspension.

The lawmakers stated that it was an in-house misunderstanding which had been resolved with the intervention of the council chairman, Dr Fred Okem, who convened meetings with them and called for a truce.

“We are now back together as a family working for the development of our great local government area, Yala,” a councilor stated.

In his remarks, the council chairman said all the councilors were back together to work with singularity of purpose and unity of thought with the executive arm to run the affairs of the council to bring rapid development.
