Crystal Palace have confirmed their intention to continue with manager Oliver Glasner following direct talks held on Saturday, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Despite what Romano described as “tense 24h at the club,” Palace officials have informed Glasner of their desire to maintain their working relationship. However, the report also indicates that Glasner is still expected to depart in June, with a possibility of an earlier exit depending on developments in the coming weeks. For now, the club insists on moving forward together.
Oliver Glasner had told Crystal Palace supporters who called for him to be sacked to “stay humble” as his future at the club remains in doubt following a poor run of form.
A section of Palace’s away support turned on the 51-year-old during Thursday’s 1-1 draw at Zrinjski Mostar in the Conference League, chanting “we want Glasner out”.
The Austrian has already announced he will leave the club this summer when his contract expires, but sources have told BBC Sport there is uncertainty as to his immediate future after one win in 15 matches.
Glasner, who guided the Eagles to their first piece of major silverware with victory in the 2025 FA Cup final, says supporters should “never forget where they came from”.
“They can say and sing whatever they want,” Glasner said. “I know what I am doing.
“I would say the most important thing is stay humble. I think it’s the same for the fans.
“Stay humble. Never forget where you’re coming from. I think a few who are so critical in this situation are not humble anymore.
“Forget where you are coming from and usually in life you are punished for this.”
Glasner, who moved to Selhurst Park in 2023 from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, has been linked with jobs at Manchester United and Tottenham in the past six months.
