Civil society groups, The Concerned Nigerian Network in Diaspora and Rebuild Nigeria Movement Platform have commended the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for a job welldone in the seven years of the administration, especially in the financial sector.
Speaking through the leader of the Platforms, Ambassador James Erebuoye, the groups specifically applauded the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, on the initiative of the Naira redesign policy, explaining that the Governor “has fully demonstrated his commitment in serving this great nation.”
Ambassador Erebuoye described the redesigning of 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes as one of the greatest achievements of the Buhari led administration, observing that the policy has helped, and will continue to help in curtailing fraud, money laundering and hoarding of funds that has hitherto caused hardship for many Nigerians.
He further explained that through the new policy, issues like the menace of vote buying and selling will be curbed during the forthcoming general elections, thereby allowing electorates to vote their choice candidates willingly without coercion or enticement.
The groups thus pledged their continuous support to the President Buhari led administration, which is working assiduously to make the country better.
