Israeli President Isaac Herzog has called for increased innovation and unity across the globe, noting that “Israel is a trailblazer in so many technologies that are revolutionizing our lives every day.”
He called for increased collaboration and innovation, reinforcing the idea that partnerships across borders were essential for addressing the evolving challenges of the digital age.
Herzog delivered special remarks through video at Cybertech Global TLV on Tuesday, stating that the ongoing war with terrorists has not changed this.
He emphasised the resilience of Israel’s technology sector despite ongoing challenges.
The president further emphasisd that holding a top-level technology conference during turbulent times was no anomaly but rather a testament to the symbiotic relationship between challenges and opportunities, both of which drive innovation forward, which has made Israel stand out among many nations.
According to him, “Israel is a trailblazer in so many technologies that are revolutionising our lives every day. The war hasn’t changed this. Israel is still a leader.”
Herzog, however, called for the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas militant group, noting that Israel will not rest up until they return home.
However, the acting Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) chief, Nitzan Amar, said that despite a 300 per cent spike in cyber attacks against Israel by Iran and Hezbollah during the war, “we managed a zero success of major attacks against the Israeli cyber space since October 7.”
