Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, has accused his fellow artist, Davido, of being behind his recent arrest by the police. Dammy Krane took to social media to make the allegation, claiming that Davido was envious of his success and orchestrated the arrest as a way to sabotage his career.
Dammy, in a series of posts on his X handle, said he had been illegally detained by the police on Davido’s instructions
The singer, who further alleged plans to frame him for Crypto scam said, “If anything happens to me @davido should be held responsible.
“Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. they wrote a petition lying that i am into flutterwave and crypto scam just to arrest me. this is how they keep using bad cops to spoil the name of the police”, he added.
However, Davido has since denied any involvement in Dammy Krane’s arrest and has dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded. He categorically stated that he has no reason to want to harm Dammy Krane’s career but wish him well.
The truth behind Dammy Krane’s arrest remains unclear, but it is clear that there is bad blood between the two artists.
The fight between the duo started in 2023 after Dammy Krane called Davido out over an alleged debt.
In response, Davido described Dammy Krane as ungrateful.
Krane has since continued to drag Davido online. And accused him of having a hand in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who died in 2017 from alleged alcohol poisoning after his birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State.
Weighing in on the fight during a live performance on stage, veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, famously known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, ordered Dammy Krane and Davido to embrace peace.
