Davido Ignites AFCON 2025 Opening Ceremony In Rabat

The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 will be officially kicked off on Sunday night with a spectacular opening ceremony slated for 6:00 PM WAT at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, setting the tone for what promises to be a month of continental football and cultural celebration.

Nigerian Afrobeats titan Davido thrilled fans after posting a video on X showing himself and his team arriving at the stadium ahead of his performance, igniting excitement across social media.

The artiste earlier wrote: “Performing at the opening ceremony for AFCON ! 6 30 PM WAT.”

He performed alongside French Montana. Others, who performed included Douaa Lahyaoui, Lartiste and Says’z.

In addition to performances already taking place, music icons Angélique Kidjo, Jaylann, and L’Artiste were scheduled to unveil the official AFCON 2025 anthem, a musical centerpiece of the ceremony celebrating unity and continental pride.
