Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reignited his ongoing rivalry with DJ Tunez following a viral video featuring fellow artiste Burna Boy.
The drama escalated on Wednesday evening when Davido shared a series of cryptic posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account, mocking the disc jockey’s steeze and professional standing. The posts followed a reported physical altercation between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez at a Lagos nightclub.
In a move that intensified the online friction, Davido reposted a video of Burna Boy mocking the DJ with the trending phrase, “Ogbafia dey for ground.” The clip shows Burna Boy dramatically falling to the floor, an act widely interpreted as a ridicule of the DJ’s alleged fall during the club scuffle.
Although Davido did not explicitly name the disc jockey in his written posts, his use of specific emojis and references to “boots”—linked to reports that the DJ was stepped on during the fight led fans to conclude that DJ Tunez was the target.
“You will collect again. Your steeze is gone forever,” the singer wrote in one of the posts, describing the target as a nasty fellow.
The incident has drawn mixed reactions from the public. While the back-and-forth between the industry giants amuses some fans, others have criticised the singer for getting involved in the fallout from a fight that did not directly involve him.
DJ Tunez, who is the official DJ for Wizkid, has yet to issue a formal response to the fresh taunts from the Davido camp.
