Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has described the deceased Elemure of Emure-Ile in Owo council area of the state, Oba Simon Adedubaje Adeyefa 1, as a monarch who was truly passionate about development.

Speaking at the interdenominational service for the late monarch in Emure-Ile on Sunday, the governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, noted the passion and zeal with which the king wanted empowerment for the people of the town.

He said, “Kabiyesi was always talking about gainful employment for the youth of the community and development of the town as a whole.

“He was, indeed, a pro-people monarch. It is remarkable that he also used his stool to serve God and I pray that his soul will find eternal rest in the Lord,” a statement by the press secretary to deputy governor, John Paul Akinduro, said.

The governor condoled with the children, wives and family of Oba Adeyefa and the people of Emure-ile over the demise of the monarch, asking them to keep the fire burning, and carry on with the legacies of the king.
