The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, has been commended for his compassionate visit to the family of the late Brig. Gen. B. M. Uba, who died in the line of duty while fighting terrorists during an operation in Wajiroko, Damboa local government area of Borno State.
According to a statement shared by Edward John Auta Pama, a historian, public affairs analyst and advocate for good governance, the minister paid a heartfelt visit to the bereaved family yesterday, offering his condolences and reaffirming the unwavering support of the federal government and Nigerians at large.
Pama said Gen. Musa’s presence brought comfort and reassurance to the grieving household, serving as a powerful message of national appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice made by the fallen officer. He described the gesture as a rare and commendable demonstration of compassion and leadership.
He further observed that the Minister’s conduct reflects the qualities that distinguished his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff. This attribute contributed greatly to his reputation for effective and humane leadership.
