Juan Martin del Potro believes Novak Djokovic has what it takes to claim a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title. In an interview with The Tennis Head, the retired Argentine star said that as long as Djokovic is still competing, he remains the top player in the sport.
Del Potro explained that securing another major is a deeply personal goal for the Serbian, and he thinks it would be a fantastic moment for tennis if Djokovic pulls it off.
“Yeah… he’s Djokovic,” del Potro said. “I would like to see him win the 25th Grand Slam.”
Djokovic is pushing to surpass Margaret Court’s all-time record by adopting a more aggressive, shorter-point strategy to reduce physical strain.
Despite reaching the 2026 Australian Open final, he faces stiff challenges from rising stars like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
