Determined to attract investments, generate employment opportunities and boost economic prosperity, the Delta State government is set to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kwale Free Trade Zone.

The trade zone alongside the Koko Free Trade Zone were established two years ago to improve the state’s economic development.

The managing director and CEO of Delta Special Economic Zone, Godwin Akpovie, in a statement yesterday assured that the Kwale Free Trade Zone would be game changer in economic prosperity considering the number of companies that have invested and those indicating interest.

While expressing optimism that the zone would attract both local and foreign investors, generate employment opportunities, improve local infrastructure, facilitate technology transfer, he stated it would equally boost economic prosperity in the state.

The chief executive officer commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his unwavering support and vision for industrialising the state, adding that his passion for growth and development had been instrumental to the zone.
