Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has congratulated the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, on his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja by his special adviser on Press Affairs, Udora Orizu, the deputy speaker described Abbas as a “true democrat and a leader par excellence, with a proven track record of selfless and dedicated service to Nigeria.
He said Abbas has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a nation-builder, showing unwavering commitment to sustaining Nigeria’s democracy and promoting good governance through effective representation.
Kalu stated that Speaker Abbas has exhibited pragmatic leadership, which has resulted in remarkable accomplishments.
The deputy speaker further commended Abbas for emphasising empathy, introspection and humanitarian causes to celebrate his milestone birthday.
He wished him many more fruitful years and good health in the service of humanity.
