Political activist and co-founder of #BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, has charged Nigerians not to leave the coalition movement to the usual politicians.
She noted that politics should not be left for people who can buy 200 million Naira forms alone.
Opposition leaders led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in 2023, Peter Obi, former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Elrufai, and former Transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi, have been spearheading a coalition movement to defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
In a post on X, she told Nigerians to “Be the drivers of the coalition. Participate in it. Call the shots! Make demands!
“Ask for seats, tickets!
While the usual politicians are positioning for the executive positions, position for the legislative position.
“Who do you want as your state house of assembly members, House of Representatives members, Senators. Make those part of the coalition conversation.
“Politics should not be left for people who can buy 200 million Naira forms alone,” she said.
