Managing Director and CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc., Dupe Olusola,  has been honoured with the Guardian Seven Wonder Women Awards for Innovative Entrepreneurship & Careers.

The award was announced at the Guardian Woman Festival Dinner and Awards which was held in Lagos recently. Dupe joined six other women who won in different categories to make up Guardian’s Seven Wonder Women.

In a statement by the hospitality company, the award is a testament to Dupe Olusola’s excellent track record which saw her win the LEADERSHIP CEO of the Year Award in 2023 and Seven Stars Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards CEO of the Year 2023, underscoring her exceptional leadership and contributions to the hospitality industry.

‘‘Seen as an inspiration and beacon of hope for female leadership and career excellence, Dupe Olusola earlier in the year became the first female CEO of a N1 trillion company, as Transcorp Hotels’ market capitalisation rose with its impressive share price growth, reaching N100 per share, from N6.25 in the past year. Starting during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dupe Olusola has seen Transcorp Hotels through the worst period in its history, going from a loss position occasioned by the pandemic to impressive year-on-year performance, with revenue reaching N42.7 billion in 2023. Many have attributed the company’s excellent performances to her innovative strategies and her relentless pursuit of excellence.
