Eagle Aromatic Schnapps, Nigeria’s brand from the stable of Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL), has again demonstrated its love and commitment to the promotion of the rich cultural heritage of the Awori people of Ota Kingdom as the brand declared its support for this year’s Iganmode Day as a key festival partner.

By supporting the iconic cultural festival of the Aworis for the umpteenth time, Eagle Aromatic Schnapps not only affirmed its consistent support for the revered throne of the Olota of Ota and the Awori people in general, it also reinforced its commitment to the promotion of cultural heritage of the people and communities across Nigeria.

Iganmode Day or Omo Iganmode Cultural Festival, also known as Odun Omo Iganmode, is an annual festival celebrated by the Awori people of the ancient city of Ota, Ogun State and Awori sons and daughters spread across Lagos, Republic of Benin and other parts of the world.

This year’s Iganmode Day is the 31st edition and it will hold in the industrial city of Ota, from Monday, 11th to Saturday 16th December 2023, with the theme, “Ota: The Cradle of Awori Civilisation.”

Ahead of the event, a high-powered delegation from IDL led by the Insight and category manager, ‘Tofunmi Opaleye, has paid a courtesy visit to the Olota of Ota, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Adeyemi Obalanlege, Lanlege Ekun III, in his palace to formally signal the company’s support for Iganmode Day as a key festival partner.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. ‘Tofunmi Opaleye congratulated Olota, his chiefs, and sons and daughters of the ancient Awori kingdom on the occasion of this year’s Iganmode Day. He described the festival as an iconic symbol of unity for the Awori people at home and in the Diaspora, while adding that Eagle Aromatic Schnapps as ‘a home brand’ was excited to identify with the throne of Olota and the Awori people again because Eagle Aromatic Schnapps and Ota have become synonymous as one brand.
