Labour Party (LP) candidate for Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo federal constituency, Mr Nkemkanma Kama has described as laughable the rumours being circulated on social media that he has been sacked by an Abakaliki Federal High Court.
Reacting to the social media posts, Mr Kama said that he remains the candidate of the Labour Party as there is no suit in any court challenging his candidature.
Social media reports had alleged that an Abakaliki federal high court declared one Mr Festus Ọdịi as candidate of the party but Kama described the post as a figment of the imagination of those afraid of his towering profile.
He maintained that there was no court case in the first place against him which required any ruling in any court.
He said there has been palpable fear within the other political parties over the acceptability of the Labour Party in the state adding that the outpouring of felicitations which trailed his birthday from his constituents and general public may have been responsible for the hoax being peddled in a bid to whittle down his growing popularity among Ohanivo voters.
“Our attention has been drawn to the rumour making rounds that there was a ruling of the Federal High Court Abakaliki today awarding victory to Chief Festus Odii against our principal, Dr. Nkemkanma Kama.
