Protests erupted at Ward 8, Unit 1 of Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State as voters demonstrated over non-availability of result sheets.

Frustrated voters queried the unusual absence of result sheets at the polling unit, demanding that it be provided immediately.

“How can we vote without result sheet, does it work that way? We cannot be part of a compromised process. No result sheets, no election,” they stated.

Explanations from officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) that the result sheets were on their way to the unit feel on deaf ears.

“When are they bringing it?,” one of the frustrated voters queried.

Voters at the unit who already lined up to cast their votes remained adamant, vowing not to vote until result sheets were provided.
