Chairman of the APC Congress Committee in Edo State, Kabir Ajanah, has advised other states to emulate the hitch-free conduct of the local government and ward congresses which ended yesterday all over the country.
Speaking at a press conference at APC secretariat in Benin, Ajanah said it was clear that the state exco brought all the members on board which led to a smooth conduct of the congresses.
He said the state governor, Monday Okpebholo’s exemplary leadership rubbed off on the congresses as party members cued into the governor’s template.
He said, “The congress has become a model for many other states to follow and I commend the state chairman, Jarret Tenebe, for providing the logistics that aided our job.
“The governor has also shown exemplary leadership to bring all the members of the party in the state on board.”
Tenebe said Edo State remained the cynosure of all eyes in the country due to the rancor-free model demonstrated in the 18 local government areas and the 192 wards.
He said the unprecedented development in Edo was being championed by Governor Monday Okpebholo who had put the state in a position of a classic model for others to emulate.
