The school,  formerly known as GSS Dukku, has now been upgraded to a Mega College.

The establishment of Government Mega College Dukku marks the completion of the planned five Mega schools in the state, each designed to accommodate over 3000 students.
These schools boast state-of-the-art infrastructure and teaching aids, further emphasizing the administration’s commitment to providing modern and effective learning facilities.

This move is in line with the Governor’s commitment to addressing critical issues in the education sector, including infrastructure deficiencies, insufficient instructional materials, and staffing needs for both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
The previously neglected and dilapidated institutions, namely Government Science Mega College Gombe, Government Science Mega College Kaltungo, Government Girls Mega College Doma, Government Mega College Dadinkowa, and now Government Mega College Dukku, have undergone a remarkable transformation.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s deliberate efforts have breathed new life into these schools, overturning years of neglect from previous administrations.

Meanwhile, in another strategic move, the students of GSS M/Sidi have been relocated to Government Mega College Dukku, paving the way for a comprehensive overhaul of the school.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s directive underscores his commitment to providing a conducive and befitting learning environment for students, ensuring that educational facilities meet contemporary standards to reflect the state’s steadfastness to fostering quality education and preparing the next generation for a brighter future.
