Educational Policy Practitioners Honour Danjuma With Fellowship Award

The secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Taraba State University, Jalingo, Dr Danjuma John has been awarded a Fellow of the Association of Educational Management and Policy Practitioners (AEMPP).

AEMPP is a key hub for educational management, uniting professionals committed to fostering advancements in the education sector in Nigeria.

The investiture of the prestigious Fellowship was conferred on Danjuma at the 2nd International Conference of the Association, which held recently at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with the theme: ‘Digitalisation of Educational Management Systems.’’

National president of AEMPP, Prof. John Undie while conferring the award, commended Dr. Danjuma for his exemplary administrative skills and significant contributions to the advancement of education in Nigeria.

He extolled Danjuma‘s reputation as a technocrat, citing his experience as registrar at two leading institutions of higher learning: Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State and the Federal College of Education, Zaria respectively.

Responding to the award, Dr. Danjuma who said he was extremely overwhelmed and appreciative of the gesture, expressed profound gratitude to the association for the honour and privilege of being singled out to be recognised with the conferment of a Fellowship award.

In his words ‚‘I sincerely appreciate the gesture and would ever remain grateful to the authorities of the Institute and the Association for recognizing my due diligence and indeed contributions to the development of educational policies, practices and implementation thereof“.

Apart from his career in the academia, Dr. Danjuma served as a Sole Administrator and Secretary of a Local Government Council in the former Gongola State. He was adviser to the Governor of Taraba State as well as a resource person on an interview panel to the high powered committee on the creation and reconstruction of Local Government in the old Gongola State.

 

He also served on the panel of interview for appointment of Registrars of Nigerian Universities.

Dr. Danjuma holds two Doctorate degrees from the University of Colorado and Taraba State University, along with a reputation as a dedicated gentleman.
