The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested popular TikToker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, for allegedly abusing the Naira currency in Kano.

An EFCC source confirmed that the social media influencer was apprehended on Saturday in Kano State as part of an ongoing investigation.

“The investigation is ongoing, and upon completion, she will be charged to court for prosecution,” the source stated.

Murja, widely recognised on TikTok under the username ‘Yagayagamen’, is one of the most controversial tiktokers in Kano State, leading to her multiple troubles.

This is not the first time she has been arrested in Kano. In February 2023, the Kano State Hisbah Board detained her for allegedly engaging in immoral activities and corrupting public morals through her social media content. She was later charged in a Shari’a court, where she pleaded not guilty. Following her release from detention, she left the state for a while and kept a relatively low profile.
