As Muslims across Nigeria and in the diaspora mark this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Prince Dr. Olatunji Olusoji, has extended his warmest felicitations to the faithful, commending their devotion and perseverance throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message released to celebrate the occasion, Asiwaju Olusoji congratulated the Muslim Ummah for successfully completing what he described as a rigorous yet spiritually rewarding period of fasting, reflection, and renewed commitment to faith. He noted that Ramadan represents more than abstinence, but a transformative journey marked by discipline, self-denial, and heightened devotion to God.

Reflecting on the significance of the season, he emphasised that the values cultivated during Ramadan—patience, compassion, and piety—should not end with the festivities but continue to guide daily living.

“Eid-el-Fitr is not just a time for celebration, but a moment to reflect on the virtues of empathy and togetherness. I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to extend a hand of fellowship to the needy and maintain the spirit of oneness that defines our great nation,” he stated.

The Kogi State-born philanthropist also used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for the current administration at both the federal and state levels. According to him, ongoing reforms are carefully designed to reposition the nation and Kogi State for sustainable economic growth and long-term prosperity.

He appealed to citizens to exercise patience and understanding as government policies take root, assuring that their benefits would soon become evident.
Asiwaju Olusoji further stressed the importance of collective responsibility in nation-building, noting that progress can only be achieved through unity, cooperation, and shared commitment to the country’s development.

In a solemn moment, he offered special prayers for members of the armed forces and security agencies, acknowledging their sacrifices in safeguarding lives and ensuring that citizens can celebrate in peace.
