The Conference of Professionals in the Peoples Democratic Party (CP-PDP) has said the fervent prayers, fasting, and supplications to God by Nigerians for the end of bad governance, economic hardship and insecurity in Nigeria will not be in vain.
The Conference, in its Eid-el-Fitr message, said many Nigerians approached the Ramadan fast and prayers with heightened hope and faith for God’s divine intervention to rescue the nation from oppressive rule, unbearable hardship, and worsening insecurity, which citizens have been subjected to, especially in the last two years.
The CP-PDP national coordinator, Barr. Obinna Nwachukwu, in a statement, said “they are assured in faith that such dependence on the rescuing hands of the Almighty Allah, the Most Beneficent and Most Merciful, cannot be in vain.”
The Conference commended Nigerians for their resilience, law-abiding disposition, peaceful coexistence, and care for one another, despite the provocative and anti-people policies of the current administration which have brought significant pain and pressure upon the citizenry.
The CP-PDP extols Nigerians for their belief in democracy, adding that the coming 2027 General Elections afford the citizens an opportunity, they must not miss, to redeem our nation by voting in a new President and other set of new leaders who truly care for the people on the platform of the PDP.
The Conference thanked Nigerians for “their established loyalty and solidarity with the PDP, as evidenced by the surge of citizens joining the party in their millions through the ongoing e-registration exercise on the party’s portal across all wards in the country.”
The CP-PDP assured the public that the PDP has overcome its challenges and is now poised to commence the process of nominating candidates for all elective positions in the 2027 elections.
“We call upon all Nigerians of goodwill to strengthen their resolve to use the coming elections to return our nation to a path of dignity, safety, and happiness, in line with the Will of God.
“While wishing Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the CP-PDP urges all citizens to remain peaceful and law-abiding, to continue to care for one another, and to work hard for the good of our nation,” the group said
