The Lapoekun of Ijebu-Ode in Ogun State, Chief Ayotunde Ola Odulaja, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast, calm, and prayerful as the nation continues to navigate through its present socio-economic and security challenges.

In a goodwill message issued ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, Chief Tunde Odulaja stated that the current difficulties being experienced across the country are not lost on the Government, expressing optimism that ongoing efforts and policies will, in due course, yield positive results for a better and more prosperous Nigeria.

He appealed to citizens not to lose hope in the country, emphasising the importance of unity, patience, and collective prayers at this critical period in the nation’s history.

The respected Ijebu-Ode chief particularly called on Muslim faithful across Nigeria to use the sacred occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to pray fervently for peace, stability, progress, and economic recovery in the country. According to him, Nigerians must continue to trust in the mercy and guidance of Almighty Allah (SWT), believing that all sincere supplications offered for the nation shall be answered.

Chief Tunde Odulaja further commended Nigerians for their resilience, maturity, and calm disposition despite prevailing challenges, urging them to continue supporting and praying for the Government at all levels as efforts are being intensified to address the nation’s concerns and improve the welfare of the people.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us reflect on the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence which the season represents. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and together, through prayers, unity, and understanding, we shall overcome our present challenges and build a stronger nation,” he stated.

He thereafter extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, and across Nigeria, wishing them a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
