As Muslim faithful all over the world celebrate Maulud Nabiyy, Sheikh Abubakar Sadiq urged Muslims and non-Muslims in Nigeria to reflect on the significance of Maulud Nobiyy and offer prayers for the peace, unity, and economic stability of the country.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the Maulud celebration at his residence, Sheikh Abubakar explained that they are observing Maulid Nabiyi Muhammadu SAW to help people understand the importance of our beloved prophet.
According to him, Prophet Muhammad SAW, whom God Almighty created, motivates every one of us to love him, whether we like it or not.
“My message to all Muslims and non-Muslims is for us to come together and accept what the Prophet Muhammad SAW brought to us, and that is Islam.
“Islam is a religion of peace, and Almighty God told us about what Islam is after. When you practice the religion of Islam, you will escape from the calamities of this world and the hereafter.”
Continuing, he said Allah stated in the holy Qur’an, in Suratul Al-Imran, when Allah said, “Whoever comes with any other religion on the Day of Judgment, he or she will not receive anything from His or Her hand.”
“In this case, I want to make everybody aware that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace; there is no other religion on the side of Allah except Islam.
“I have selected the best religion for Muslims. So, in this case, we have to use this opportunity to call brothers and sisters to embrace Islam for us to escape from the problems of this world and the hereafter,”verse from Suratul Imran.
He prays that God continues to unite us and enable peace and harmony to reign in Nigeria. May Allah continue to assist our leaders, the President, Vice President, and others. May He lead them on the right path, and may all the citizens and foreigners enjoy Nigeria together without any problems.
