The union called on the police to do everything possible to unravel those behind the dastardly act in order for them to be arrested and prosecuted.

He lamented that the young man who was killed was a father of four children including three weeks new born baby adding that his family has been exposed to face difficult times in this early stage of life.

“We are here in your command to make a presentation in respect to the gruesome murder of one of our colleagues, Mr. Ani Afamefuna Casmia in the early hours of Saturday,10th of June, 2022.

“We got to know about it when we were called to come and identify one of us in the mortuary and when we came, what we saw was a pitiable site.

“We are here because our hope lies on the law enforcement agencies more especially the police to unravel those behind the incident and let us know what his offence is that led to such gruesome killing.”

“We want to make a request that the police should help us because this young man has a family, wife and four children including a little one that was born few weeks ago who will never see their father again”.

Responding, the state commissioner of police, CP Garba Aliyu reassured the protesters of police readiness to ensure that all those behind the evil act are brought to book.

Aliyu, who was represented by the deputy commissioner of police in charge of State Criminal Investigation Department, Mr Robert Clement said the command is already on top of the matter.
