The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced a slight change to the Abuja-Kaduna train service ahead of the February 21, 2026 FCT elections.

The NRC insisted that the scheduled train service for Saturday will hold but with little adjustments to the timing due to the restrictions of movement.
The Corporation said the outbound train from Abuja to Kaduna will now depart at 7:30 a.m as against the 9:10 a.m initial departure time.

NRC said in a statement on Thursday by its chief public relations officer, Callistus Unyimadu that the inbound service from Kaduna to Abuja remains unchanged and will depart at 2:30 p.m. as scheduled.
He however, warned passengers against delays so as to not be caught up by the restrictions of movement, noting that “Passengers are kindly advised to arrive at the station early before the commencement of restriction of movement.

“Normal train services will resume on Sunday. The Corporation regrets any inconvenience this adjustment may cause.”
