Embrace Agriculture, Gov Alia Tells Benue Youths

Benue State governor, Hyacinth Alia, has encouraged the youths to embrace agriculture, stressing that his administration is willing to invest more in the sector to create opportunities and improve livelihoods.

The information officer, Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Johnson Ehi Daniel, in a statement yesterday, said Governor Alia spoke when when he paid unscheduled visit to the state-owned company’s headquarters in Makurdi.

Daniel said the governor had just returned to the state after joining other governors in paying a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in commemoration of the Sallah celebration.

He also attended a meeting of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum before returning to the state.

According to him, Governor Alia was received by the general manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa, amid cheers and chants from a crowd of supporters who quickly gathered upon noticing the governor’s presence.
