Emir Sanusi Hails Abia’s Devt Strides

Emir of Kano, Mohammadu Sanusi II, has said Nigerians are aware of positive developments in Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti.

Sanusi stated this during the 2025 Atani Day Celebration in Atani Arochukwu in Arochukwu local government area of Abia State where he joined Otti for the event.

“I’d like to congratulate Dr Otti for all the work he has done in Abia State. I’m sure for those of you in the state, nobody needs to tell you.

“But you will want to know that even outside the state and the country, everyone has taken note of the great transformation of the last two years,” Sanusi said.

The monarch, who explained that it was the first time he had attended such an event, noted that he was most impressed by the cultural display.

“I bring you goodwill and good tidings from the people of Kano. I hope that we will continue to build bridges across the Niger as citizens of one great country,” he added.

Otti said the people were glad that the Emir, who he said has been his friend for over two decades, visited them during the Yuletide.

“I want to thank him for what he has remained. I am very proud of him. He has gone through a lot of challenges but he hasn’t let anything affect him,” the governor added.

Otti reassured residents of the state that his administration would not disappoint them because it was installed by God through them.

‎He also urged them to ignore those screaming to be noticed for negotiation, insisting that his government has no time for such people.

‎”We are not afraid, the people that brought us to power are still there, and they are the ones that will write the testimonial at the end of the day.”
