The Emir disclosed this when he received the state deputy governor, Hon Idi Barde on a condolence visit to his palace over an unfortunate incident between soldiers and civilians in Gashua town.

He also appealed to the state government to provide employment to the youths in the state stressing that unemployment is the main factor responsible for the mayhem.

According to him, most of the youths that participated in the protest are below 30 years old.

In his response, the deputy governor explained that out of concern, Governor Mai Mala directed him to immediately pay a visit to Gashua and assess the situation.
