Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has informed its customers in the five South East states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo that it experienced a loss of supply from sourceyesterday at about 10:48 am.
The group head, Corporate Commission of EEDC, Mr Emeka Eze, who disclosed this in a release, said steps have been taken to ensure that power supply is restored without further delay.
“The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc (EEDC) wishes to inform its electricity customers in Abia (Umuahia), Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States that it experienced a loss of supply from its source of power today at about 10:48 am
“This development resulted in the power outage experienced by customers served by our subsidiary companies—MainPower, TransPower, FirstPower, NewEra, and EastLand. The reason is yet to be known.
“We are on standby, liaising with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely restoration of supply across the affected areas.
“We count on your kind understanding, and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this outage may have caused our esteemed customers,” Ezeh appealed.
