In a riveting display of football, Enyimba of Aba secured their position at the pinnacle of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table with a narrow 3-2 victory over Bendel Insurance of Benin. The match, held at Enyimba’s home ground, showcased both teams’ attacking prowess, but it was Enyimba who emerged victorious, amassing a total of 11 points from five matches.

Nasarawa United also made headlines this matchday, climbing to second place in the standings after a solid 2-1 win against Bayelsa United. This victory underlines Nasarawa’s growing strength in the league as they continue to chase the top spot.

Other notable results from the day’s fixtures included El Kanemi Warriors edging out Warri Wolves FC with a 1-0 win, while Niger Tornadoes delivered a commanding performance against Ikorodu City, triumphing 4-2. Shooting Stars also secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kun Khalifat.
