The Renewed Hope National Youth Tour has continued to gather momentum across the Niger Delta, with ex-agitators’ leaders joining the efforts to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The national chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2, Ibena Rufus Salvation, gave the backing yesterday in Yenagoa, while reacting to the youth mobilisation drive held across states in the South-South region, including Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers and Edo.

He described the tour as a strong signal of growing youth support for the President, noting that the initiative reflects the commitment of young people in the Niger Delta to participate actively in shaping the country’s political future.

Salvation also acknowledged the role of Seyi Tinubu in engaging youths across the region, saying the outreach has helped to connect government policies with grassroots expectations.

He said, “I congratulate Mr Seyi Tinubu and the leaders and members of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour for their mobilisation across the South-South, which is aimed at supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The mobilisation rally is a clear testament to the strong resolve of youths in the Niger Delta to back the President’s second term bid, considering the visible impact of his administration in the region.”

He pointed to key projects and policies as reasons for the growing support, including infrastructure development and institutional reforms targeted at the Niger Delta.

“The youths of the South-South have taken a position based on what they are seeing. From the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project to the establishment of the South-South Development Commission and other interventions, there is clear evidence of commitment to the region,” he said.

Salvation added that the administration had also prioritised youth inclusion in governance, with several young people from the region appointed into strategic positions.

“It must be noted that this administration has given opportunities to many youths from the Niger Delta, and they are contributing meaningfully in their various roles. This shows a level of trust and inclusion that has not always been the case,” he stated.
