The 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, has urged Governor Agbu Kefas to step up in infrastructural development to improve the economic growth and wellbeing of the people.
Bwacha stated this while speaking with journalists at his residence in Jalingo, Taraba State capital. He said the infrastructural development under the two years of governor Kefas in the state is not encouraging.
Bwacha contested the 2023 election against Governor Agbu Kefas who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate but lost.
Bwacha, who also declared his intention to contest for the governorship election come 2027, said he decided to contest because of the lamentations of the people of the state.
He said he is aware of happenings in the state at all times despite residing in Abuja.
“I am hearing murmurings, I am hearing complaints and bitterness, I have had no time to come to Taraba and drive round the state, but today is my 7th day, although, for any bad thing there is a good thing.
“The journey of the governor so far, infrastructural wise is not encouraging, this not with some dotted infrastructure that has some meanings, because when I landed at the airport, in my characteristic manner I told the governor that those who remodel the airport did very well.
“But we want to see your projects that will be remembered in your name, this remodeling thing, you should initiate your project so that you can show that this is your projects.
“I have no business to go into the governorship contest if the people are feeling good, if the people are satisfied and seems to be looking better, we an improved livelihood for the people, these are things that are lacking.”
He said Governor Kefas still has two years under his administration to amend so many things to redeem his image.
“He might have some projects he initiated which I don’t know but I am telling him this so that he will wake up and stop the present banters he is receiving from the people,” Bwacha stated.
