Ex-Kaduna Commissioner Defects From APC To ADC

The former director-general of Senator Uba Sani Campaign Council in 2023, Prof. Muhammad Sani Bello (Mainan Zazzau), has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In his letter of resignation dated January 7, 2026, and addressed to Dogarawa Ward chairman of APC, Bello, an ally of former Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, stated that, “This is to let you know of my decision to withdraw my membership of the APC with immediate effect.”

“I wish to place on record my appreciation for the mutually beneficial relationship that we have shared during my membership of the party,” Bello said.

Bello, who is the immediate-past Kaduna State Commissioner of Information, has consequently been appointed member of ADC constitution review committee in the opposition party’s efforts to gear up for the 2027 general election.
