The newly inaugurated Iloffa Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has taken  off with 60 students at its maiden matriculation in Iloffa, Oke-Ero local government area of Kwara State.

The  matriculation oath was administered on the students at an event  witnessed by the Alofa of Iloffa,  Oba Samuel Okinbaloye, Aponbiepo  II.

In his remarks, the Alofa gave glory to God for bringing into fruition the long dream of getting a NOUN study centre in Iloffa inspite of many challenges encountered toward achieving the feat since the idea was conceived in 2011.

The monarch  described the feat as a manifestation of the aspirations

of the community’s founding fathers as well as the determination to engender self development through communal infrastructure provisions.

He  congratulated the pioneer  students of the centre and urged  them to be good ambassadors of the institution and the Iloffa community.

He  commended the management of NOUN, the centre’s  director and his  staff for the great job they have been doing  since the commissioning of the centre in November, 2023.
