Receiving them into the APC fold, the minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, assured them of equal opportunities with old members adding that their decision to join PDP will enhance their resolve to reclaim Osun and return dignity to governance.

He noted that President Bola Tinubu has done excellently well in all sectors through his Renewed Hope Agenda thus laying a solid foundation for a better Nigeria adding that for continuity, they have come out to endorse him for a second term in office.

The state party leader charged leaders and members of the party to go back to their communities, ward and polling units to tell their people that light of progress has returned to Osun saying that they should be informed that APC is stronger, united and determined.

In his remarks, the party flag bearer in the 2026 governorship election in the state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), expressed confidence that with the defection of the political giants, victory is further assured come August 8.
