Faithia Williams Expresses Gratitude Amid Cinema Sabotage Claims

Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has shifted focus to celebrating her film’s progress, days after alleging that some cinemas were deliberately undermining its screening opportunities.
Taking to Instagram, Williams thanked supporters of her movie, Efunroye: The Unicorn, since its theatrical release, extending warm wishes and prayers to her fans for their continued loyalty.

The actress acknowledged the challenges of releasing a film outside the festive season — traditionally a peak period for Nollywood box office performance — while expressing appreciation for the public’s response.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has been supportive of the Efunroye journey since it hit cinemas,” she wrote, adding that the film is still showing nationwide and encouraging audiences to catch it at their nearest cinema.

The post comes on the heels of Williams’ earlier complaint that certain cinemas had cut down the number of screenings for Efunroye despite strong audience interest, leaving some viewers struggling to find available show times — a situation she described as deliberate sabotage of her project.
