The Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has encouraged staff members to unite in pursuit of excellence and efficiency in revenue generation and service delivery, to actualise the Internally Generated Revenue vision of the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.

The acting executive chairman of FCT-IRS, Mr Michael Ango who spoke during a virtual meeting, urged them to work towards surpassing the service’s annual revenue target.

Ango who tasked the staff on integrity, hard work and dedication, reiterated commitment to actualise Wike’s IGR vision by optimising revenue collection and blocking revenue leakages.

He encouraged them to prioritise customer service and treat taxpayers, the agency’s major stakeholders, with the utmost respect to ensure a positive and rewarding experience for all.

“My task here is to further deepen Mr President’s reforms in the fiscal space in Nigeria, as we are all aware, the country is undergoing some significant reforms in the area of the economy, the fiscal space and of course taxation.
