The Governing Council of Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi State, has announced Professor Ibrahim Rakson Mohammad and Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed, as substantive Vice Chancellor and Bursar of the institution, respectively.
The appointments of the two principal officers were approved at the Governing Council’s special meeting held from February 17-19, 2025.
Announcing the appointments, the Registrar/Secretary to the Council, Abdulaziz Yusuf Bazata, said: “at the end of the interview, the Governing Council approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Rakson Mohammad as the Vice Chancellor.
“Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed is a Deputy Registrar with the University of Ilorin. He has been there for over thirty years, serving as a professional Accountant in the Bursary Department and he has served in different capacities.
“The Governing Council approved the appointment of the two principal officers for a single term of five years with effect from March 16, 2025,” Bazata stated.
Professor Mohammad is a Professor of Animal Science with over 30 years of conducting teaching, learning and research within the University system.
He had served as Head of Department, Director and the Pioneer Dean, College of Agriculture of the University.
