The Women’s Round of 16 of the Nigeria Football Federation President Cup delivered a mix of dominant performances and nail-biting finishes on Wednesday, with Ibom Angels pulling off the biggest upset by knocking out favorites Bayelsa Queens after a dramatic penalty shootout.

The match between Ibom Angels and Bayelsa Queens ended 1-1 in regular time, with Ibom Angels ultimately prevailing 5-4 on penalties, sending shockwaves through the tournament. Elsewhere, Confluence Queens demonstrated their title credentials with a resounding 8-0 victory over Esthington FC, while Edo Queens put on a powerful display to defeat Delta Queens 4-0.

Other notable results saw Rivers Angels overcome Abia Angels 3-1, and FC Robo Queens secure a 5-3 win against Remo Stars Ladies in a high-scoring affair. Heartland Queens advanced comfortably with a 4-0 victory over Ahudiyannem Queens, and Sunshine Queens defeated Plateau United Queens 2-0. In another tight contest, Nasarawa Amazons edged past Naija Ratels 4-3 on penalties after their match also ended 1-1. The quarter-final matchups promise more thrilling encounters as the competition heats up.
