Former Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand has urged Barcelona defender, Ronald Araujo to snub a transfer move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are reportedly linked with a move for the 24-year-old ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window as he is believed to be unsure of his long-term future at the Catalan club.

United are currently going through a bit of upheaval and Ferdinand feels that a transfer to Old Trafford would not be ideal for the Uruguay international at this time. It is well-known that United require surgery in their squad and Ronald Araujo has become a target.

It’s unclear how things work out, but the Barcelona mainstay might be the best choice for them.

. Ferdinand thinks that Araujo will not benefit from a transfer to the Red Devils because most players have regressed since arriving at the Old Trafford club in recent months..
